We have now established our horse activity days for our veterans and their families. Hawk Farm is the activity location in Clacton, ESSEX which is set in a stunning area of natural beauty.
We have a large network of carp fisheries in the UK and France that have offered their support to our veterans and their families. This is one of many outdoor activities that we can provide in alignment with Hawk Farm and other service providers. We now have our own veteran Carp Fishing team and we will be competing in competitions around the UK. The British Disabled Angling Association (BDAA), Starmer Ltd, Angling Direct and Etang Cache have been outstanding with their support.

TRAINING & EMPLOYMENT
As an additional support service we are offering those that are ready to make a change in career direction a chance to look at other employment opportunities. We are opening up our employment networks across the UK and overseas to our veterans and their families.
There is a connection between our homeless veterans and mental health, each year we do our bit for our homeless veterans. We will continue to raise awareness on this issue and work with other veteran organisations to try and make a difference.
TRAINING & EMPLOYMENT
Our network is very veteran friendly and the event industry is a fantastic arena for networking and socialising. Through our close friends and associates we are able to offer various career options to our veterans, giving them an advantage to access a number of roles within the industry on a seasonal basis.
Wagtail UK Ltd have kindly offered their training services and we will be working together to get as many suitable veterans on the dog handling courses. Our Event & Security networks offer SIA Door Supervisors / Stewarding positions across the spectrum of events on a seasonal basis.
Veteran Friendly Companies
Within our team we have some keen carp anglers and a UK and EU network of fisheries that have offered their support to our veterans and families. Throughout the local support projects we want to extend these fishing breaks to those that have truly become "hooked" on fishing.
For those carp anglers out there, you will fully understand how fishing can become your go to place when you want to chill and relax, it becomes a focus and look forward to activity and keeps your spirits high! For these reasons we want to fill the diary with fishing breaks, competitions and local community support projects. We now have our own Carp Fishing Team and have some great things planned for 2020.
Steve and Mark, owners of Etang Cache in France have offered Phoenix Heroes veterans a free one weeks fishing each year. The lake is absolutely stunning with a healthy stock of carp to weights over 50lb.
Darren & Clare Wardle from Hawk Farm are working towards integrating these horse activity days in a way that will help our veterans and their families. For those of you that work with horses will fully understand the benefits of spending time with these remarkable animals.
Darren is a former 2nd Battalion The Parachute Regiment soldier and he is looking forward to expanding the support to our veterans. Clare is the expert when it comes to working with horses and people, she oozes with passion and is dedicated to helping people, they are both remarkable individuals.
Hawk Farm is located just off Colchester Rd, Weeley, ESSEX. Set in over 70 acres of countryside within a stunning complex and access to its own carp fishing lake makes it the ideal place to deliver the outdoor activity projects that we are pursuing.
Hawk Farm Families Day
Each year we focus on helping our homeless veterans, we aim to raise awareness and provide a range of support options to try and get our guys and girls off the streets. We do this by working alongside some of the best organisations in the UK. Last year, just before Christmas we released a short film named For Queen & Country, we have continued this into 2019 and our second film was released in January.
It is because of the valued commitment from the Phoenix Heroes team and our partnering companies that we are able to offer a range of services in support of our veterans, the short films that we make are raising awareness around the country and we are making a huge difference to peoples lives. There is a strong connection between PTSD and being homeless.
For Queen & Country Pt1 & 2
Supporting our homeless veterans, trying to get them off the streets, providing the treatment for PTSD and help with training and employment opportunities.
