Our Services
Peer Support
Peer support is when people use their own experiences to help each other. There are different types of peer support, but they all aim to: bring together people with shared experiences to support each other, provide a space where you feel accepted and understood and treat everyone's experiences as being equally important.
Please take a look at the services that we offer, as we develop as an organisation our services will develop too, some great things planned for the future.
MENTAL HEALTH VETERAN SUPPORT
We focus on helping our veterans that are trying to deal with mental health difficulties, our referrals process is very straight forward.
We are an Organisational Member of the National Counselling Society and we follow the NCS ethical framework for the counselling professions. Our professional therapist are members of the National Counselling Society and we are also partnered with PTSD Resolution. Our core members of the Phoenix Heroes team have conducted CPD accredited PTSD training courses and Level 3 Award in Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults. Our therapist have also either, served in the Armed Forces or the Police Force so they fully understand the difficulties that many of our veterans face.
The projects that we are supporting, really do make a difference. There is no pressure, we take a very relaxed approach so that people can make their own informal decisions to what type of involvement they wish to undertake.
If you feel you or someone you know needs a bit of support then please contact us.
Community Building
We are working alongside a number of organisations that provide carp fishing breaks across the UK and France and organise our own events throughout the year. We have a good team of Carp Anglers amongst us and a fantastic working relationship with our support organisations that offer a range of activities. We have now formed our own Veteran Carp Fishing Community and introduced Kayak Fishing as an additional challenge, if you would like to know more then click the links below.
Family Days
Claire and Darren have been working with Young adults for a number of years and Hawk Farm is the perfect place for the work that they do. Darren is a former 2nd Battalion Parachute Regiment soldier so it makes perfect sense to offer their services to our veterans and get them involved in our community projects.
EMPLOYMENT & TRAINING
We fully understand the importance of making the transition from the Armed Forces a less complex one. All too often we find ourselves struggling to find the right job, correct career path and training courses, our collaborations with veteran friendly organisations makes this transition a little easier.
We have identified credible companies that are veteran friendly who are keen to recruit from the veteran communities, our own network across the spectrum of most industries plays an important part to helping our veterans find that right job.
