In Memory Fish Stocking

In November this year members of Phoenix Heroes Veteran Carp Angling Club (VCAC) will be visiting Sale Water Park in Manchester to take part in a carp fish stocking program. We will be naming a number of carp fish as they are placed in the water in memory of some of our comrades who are no longer with us.
In the carp angling world is customary to name a new fish and that name stays with them as they get caught over the years, we will be taking pictures and making a portfolio for future catch references.
This project is kindly being supported by Aquaculture Equipment Ltd, VS Fisheries and Sale Water Park and we would like to thank everyone involved for making this happen. This project has longevity, as the fish grow and establish their presence in the lake the names will become very popular, this is very special to us and the families of those names that will be placed.
In time these fish will grow to some size, anglers will refer to them as one of the Phoenix Heroes batch and the name will be shared every time they are caught.
We will be sharing the portfolio pictures and back story to the names who have been selected in the New Year, what a great way to start!
