Now this is special!
We are aligned with some of the best fish farmers and fisheries in the UK and we can now offer a chance for people to name a carp fish in memory of a loved one or someone very special in their life. Our first Hero Carp project took place at Sale Water Park in Manchester where the Phoenix Heroes members attended the VS Fisheries stocking program kindly sponsored by Aquaculture Equipment Ltd.
Hero Carp Project....
Our first carp fish was named "Ellis" after Pte Lee Ellis, 2nd Battalion The Parachute Regiment who was sadly killed in action whilst serving on operations in Iraq during 2006. We were really honoured that Samantha, his sister took part in the day and got involved, it was an amazing day and we have a further nine fish being named shortly!
The season...
Fish stocking programs
Within the industry, fish stocking programs generally run through the winter months. Our project will be aligned with the season.
With the kind support from Bank Bound Carp Pics we are able to offer our families a stunning picture to keep
for lasting memories.
The future!
Lasting memories
Our Hero Carp project will create lasting memories for our families but it will also play an important role in fishery management, improving fish stocks and growth of fisheries around the UK.
Info for 2022
Full details on how you can get involved in this project will be released over the coming weeks, we are hoping that this will become a National project.
